Some golfers at the John Deere Classic travel across the world to play in Silvis. Others, like Aaron Kruger come from just around the corner.

"This feels like home," Kruger says. "I grew up in Fulton just a half hour away and my parents live in the Quad Cities."
Over the past week, the Wakonda Club head golf pro has made the TPC Deere Run his second home, competing against the best golfers in the world.
"These guys do it for a living and I don't," Kruger says. "My expectation was to play as well as I could, hit every shot, commit to every shot, and try and make the cut."

And he's trying to make the cut in front of larger than usual crowds.

"That's the fun part of it is, you get family and friends, people you haven't seen in a while," Kruger says. "They all come together to be here and to share that experience with everybody, it's very very neat."
