Bandits postpone Friday night's game

Friday night's game between the Quad Cities River Bandits and Kane County Cougars at Modern Woodmen Park has been postponed due to cold weather

Friday night's game between the Quad Cities River Bandits and Kane County Cougars at Modern Woodmen Park has been postponed due to cold weather.

The game will be made up in a doubleheader at 3 p.m. Saturday. Gates will open at 2 p.m. Saturday, and any individual tickets for Friday's game may be exchanged at the box office for any remaining 2014 home game.

The Fireworks presented by Smart Toyota of the Quad Cities are also postponed until after the doubleheader Saturday. When the gates open Saturday afternoon, the first 2,500 fans to the ballpark will receive a 2014 magnet schedule presented by New Era, and one lucky fan will win a Free Refrigerator, courtesy of Aaron's.

Quad Cities (0-1) and Kane County (1-0) are scheduled to play a pair of seven-inning games Saturday. It will be the first doubleheader of the season for each team. Pitching matchups have not yet been announced.
