On Saturday, a race in Davenport went to the dogs.

Live Uncommon's 'Triple Dog Dare' took place at Duck Creek park.

Dog owners were welcome to bring their pooches ranging in all sizes to run in three races, including a quarter mile run for dogs, and a 5k for both dogs and humans

Money raised benefits the Humane Society of Scott County.

“All about the dogs today,” said Michelle Russell.  “And we think they do great work.  Dogs are a very valued member of the family that have them in them.  And the humane society makes a home for them before they find a permanent home.”
