SOUTHEAST WIND GUSTS TO 30 MPH ARE CAUSING BLOWING SNOW ACROSS ROAD SURFACES EARLY TODAY. SNOWFALL HAS INCREASED OVER CENTRAL AND WESTERN IOWA. THIS SNOW WILL PROGRESS EAST THROUGH THE MORNING...AFFECTING MUCH OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL IOWA. THE NEW AREA OF SNOW WILL SPREAD ACROSS MUCH OF CENTRAL IOWA FOR THE REST OF THIS MORNING. SNOWFALL RATES OF UP TO ONE INCH PER HOUR WILL OCCUR WITH SOME OF THE HEAVIER SNOW BANDS. * STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW AMOUNTS ARE FORECAST TO RANGE FROM 2 TO 5 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS BY LATE AFTERNOON. * WINDS/VISIBILITY...SOUTHEAST AT 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH THROUGH NOON SUNDAY.
