Previous post: As expected, snow rolled in around lunchtime and came down for most of the rest of our Monday.  As of 8:30 p.m. it is letting up in the Quad Cities and our Winter Weather Advisory was allowed to expire at 8 p.m.

Most snow totals were in the range of 4-6 inches but there are some heavier reports from South of the Quad Cities.  The heaviest band of snow set up shop between I-80 and HWY 34.  A few locations received more than half a foot of snow in about 6 hours!

Here are some totals from the Illinois side of the river:

And here are some totals from Iowa:

We don't have long to catch our breath, there's another good chance for snow set to arrive Tuesday night.  It should not be as heavy though, with most of us seeing about an inch tomorrow night.

The latest "official" reports for the Quad Cities were between 3 and 4 inches, and those were taken around 6 this evening.  We will have updated official totals from the NWS at midnight tonight, if not before.
