QUAD CITIES - We'd been waiting and waiting and waiting and it finally happened today! For the first time thie year we made it into the 70s.
This was certainly a little behind schedule, but definitely not the latest first 70° temperature either.
The average first date for hitting 70° is March 28th. The earliest? That's February 15th (1921.) The latest we had to wait was back in 1874 when it didn't make it up to 70° until the last day of April.
We shouldn't have to wait long for the next day in the 70s, Friday maxes out in the lower 70s with some clouds and scattered showers and storms around the area.
The best chance for storms is later Friday night.
The anticipated winter storm makes its way across Iowa as expected…
Could this be it? One more round? One last hurrah? …
Snow started falling on Sunday and hasn't stopped falling well into…
