Protecting and Preserving Our Environment | Nahant Marsh

Living Local

The Nahant Marsh is a 305-acre nature preserve and education center in southwest Davenport—it is the largest urban wetland on the upper Mississippi and they provide educational programming to around 20,000 people a year!

Brian Ritter, Executive Director of the Nahant Marsh, and Kinsey Nielsen, AmeriCorps Naturalist and Master Conservationist Program Coordinator are here to talk about some of the different education programs they provide. Oh, and they brought a special guest—meet Rocky—an Iowa native bull snake!
