+ One man was injured Wednesday after a stabbing in a rural Rock Falls home invasion. The suspect is still at large. Meanwhile, Moline police are investigating a shooting that took place early today in the 2400 block of 16th Street.
+ Dozens of cats were rescued from a hoarding situation in Eldridge on Tuesday. Kings Harvest Pet Rescue in Davenport took 24 cats and kittens infested with fleas, mites and parasites from a home in Eldridge. The cats were underweight and had upper respiratory and eye infections.
+ Roadway improvements have been completed on the west side of 60th Street south of John Deere Road. Traffic will be moved to the new concrete pavement over the next week in order to allow for the east side of 60th Street to be rebuilt.
+ Iowa basketball coach Fran McCaffery and Nicholas Baer were in town Tuesday and the two of them talked with Hawkeye Headquarters‘ Adam Rossow about the role the Big Ten’s reigning Sixth Man of the Year will play this season. See the full interviews by clicking here.
