8 in shelter after fire damages Moline apartment complex

News

The American Red Cross is helping people make it through another night after a fire damaged a Moline apartment complex Wednesday night.

Officials said last night eight people stayed in the shelter.

That number could be similar tonight depending on how quickly repairs are made.

The fire happened at the Timber Ridge apartment complex around 5:30 p.m.

Most of the 35 apartments had smoke damage. There’s still no word on a cause.
