One of the Quad Cities oldest Mexican markets is adding on to the business.
The San Luis food market in Silvis opened a restaurant in the store.One of the owners says it started after the success of the deli.
The business now serves handmade tortillas, tacos and more to keep up with demand.
“Sometimes people would see the chairs here because we had some chairs and they would come and sit down. So we just kind of said why not make it a restaurant,” says Aaron Casas, owner of the supermarket. The restaurant is open everyday .
