A way to beat cabin fever? Many made their way to the Outdoors show

Quad Citians rocked their best camo and brought the kids out with them to get some relief from the weather. What better way of doing that then with some activities, fishing rods, and some boats.

“its a lot better than being outside. “

The QCCA Expo Center was packed with outdoor lovers. From boats on display to all things fishing. Nature enthusiasts got their fix but so did the kids.

“For everybody to come hang out its great and the kids can have fun. Theirs a kids zone back there and then you can always have the parents walk around and their balloon animals and all kinds of stuff for the kids too,” says Josh Lane, QC native who’s been coming to the show since he was a kid.

While parents came out to prepare for spring activities, many brought their young one’s here first to blow off some steam. ” Its like indoor and its like more fun to be than outside,” says nine year old Kyra Sears. From minnow fish races to archery, their was something to do for every family member. ” I liked when i hit the animal,” shares Sears.

For some all the outdoor equipment got them missing the warmer weather even more. ” We’re used to getting out a lot so the winter time its, its kind of a bummer,” says Brian Gonner.

These guys say in the meantime, they’ll be stocking up for the spring season. Many mentioned how they are so ready for this winter to be over.  Luckily, for those counting, spring is less than five weeks away.
