An arrest warrant has been obtained in connection with a double-murder in Clinton last March, brining to a close an 18-month investigation.
Steven Armstead, 48, of Clinton is being charged with two counts of first degree murder, a Class A felony, after the deaths of Kevin Lambert, 59, and Steven Cox, 61, on March 5, 2017.
Armstead is currently being held at the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison, Iowa, on an unrelated charge.
Bond totals $2 million.

CLINTON, Iowa - Police have identified two men found dead in Clinton.
On Monday afternoon police responded to a report of a person unresponsive in the 100 block of North 5th Street.
When officers arrived they found two men inside the home, dead.
The men have been identified as Kevin Lambert and Steven Cox.
