Brady opening as streets closing for Bix 7

Construction work on Brady Street in Davenport will be suspended Wednesday and resume on Monday to clear the way for the Quad-City Times Bix 7 road race and related activities.

Parking restrictions will begin Thursday along some downtown streets. Parking ramps and riverfront parking lots will remain available for parking.

Potholes are being filled, streets are being sweeped, tall grass is being cut and property maintenance standards are being checked along the race route.

Changes to Davenport’s Parking Ramps

·         Toll booths removed
·         Replaced with toll kiosks

In addition to the city lots….the lot at Modern Woodmen Park will also be available….if you don’t mind a nine block walk.   

Downtown Parking options

·         River Center Ramp — 102 2nd Street
·         3rd Street Ramp – 331 W. 3rd Street
·         Redstone Ramp – 101 Main Street
·         Modern Woodmen Parking Lot – 209 S Gaines Street

If you prefer parking on the street, know that portions of Brady, Pershing, E. 2nd, East 4th will be closed.
