Breaking: Sherrard woman dies in Missouri boating accident

17 people, including one woman from Sherrard died in a duck boat accident in Missouri Thursday night.

The boat capsized in Branson, Missouri with 31 people on board.
    One of the passengers was Leslie Dennison of Sherrard, IL.
    She was a mother and grandmother who grew up in Davenport and went to West High School.
     Just 14 passengers survived.    
    Nine of the people on the duckboat were from the same family.
     The boat had been traveling through Table Rock Lake after a severe thunderstorm warning was issued — with wind gusts up to 75 miles an hour.
     Ripley entertainment — which owns the boats, says… The weather had been clear when the boats went out.
     The incident is the deadliest duck boat accident in US history.
    Another duck boat sank in arkansas in 19-99, killing 13 people.
    The NTSB is still investigating.
