Cold rainy weather did not keep young football fanatics inside for NFL 100 Centennial celebration


In light of the NFL 100 Centennial Celebration, Augustana football players invited the youngins to come out and play some ball.
Children got to endure some drills as well as some laughs and victories. For those who may not know.
The Rock Island Independents was one of the first nfl charter members who played football at the  historic Douglas Park  in Rock Island. 
Augustana football coach shares with with Local 4 News the energy he’s felt on the field.

” I just think all these kids are pretty exicted im sure of being around these big you know strong football guys. its the biggest sport you know in the united states so anytime you can get a major sport like that to come to your community, everybodies going to be excited. you see jersies out here its pretty cool,” says Augustana head football coach, Steve Bell.
