Davenport Police investigating possible stabbing, suspect then attacked Kwik Shop clerk

A 27-year-old is under arrest after police said he was involved in a possible stabbing and attacked a convenience store clerk. 

Jacob Joel Mitchell is facing five felony charges related to the incident.

Davenport Police told Local 4 News they were called to a domestic disturbance about 9:15 Sunday evening between a son and the boyfriend of his mother. 

That was along Ripley Street and 15th N. Street. 

Police said Mitchell had a knife and then possibly stabbed the boyfriend although that is not confirmed.

That when the mom stepped in to break up the two men when she was also assaulted. 

Police said she was hit multiple times in the face and head. 

She has since requested an order of protection. 

Mitchell was then said to have run to the Kwik Shop on Locust where a clerk was assaulted, and a TV damaged.

Police told Local 4 News he attacked a woman who worked there with a stun weapon and went after a second woman who worked at the store but she managed to get away. 

Police told Local 4 News they’d be completing follow up Monday.
