Donnie Wahlberg stops in the Quad Cities

Donnie Wahlberg, the star of the hit TV show “Blue Bloods” and former member of the boy band, “New Kids on the Block” made a stop in the Quad Cities Friday.

Wahlberg was the keynote speaker for the 7th annual “Intimate Conversations Fundraiser” to benefit Gilda’s Club Quad Cities.

The organization provides support and education to people affected by cancer, free of charge.

This isn’t Wahlberg’s first visit to the Quad Cities.

Wahlberg and his bandmates from New Kids on the Block stopped in Davenport on their first tour.

“If you ask any of my bandmates to this day, one of their most memorable shows as the top three  I  guarantee that show will be in the top three. We said we made it we really made it. I mean the crowd was overwhelming,” said Wahlberg.

Wahlberg spent Friday meeting with staff and patients at the Genesis’ West campus.
