Dozens of people have been sickened at McDonald’s locations in the Midwest and salads may be the reason behind it.

Health departments in Iowa and Illinois are currently investigating an increase in food-borne illness after several people reported getting sick after eating their salads.

McDonald’s is working with the health department in both states and has removed salads from its restaurants in the affected areas.
