Bettendorf’s Family Museum opened it’s doors after hours Friday night for some special guest.

The museum held it’s Special Needs Night. Dozens of people got to enjoy the exhibits during the exclusive event.

They even got a special treat. Therapy dogs were on hand from the Quad Cities Canine Assistance Network.

Amy Goldsberry brings her 8-year-old son Tyler to every event, saying he looks forward to it each time.

“One of the things that is very important to us, my husband and I, is that Tyler is a child first and foremost, and deserves to have a good time. So we like to do this environment. While t’s still a little chaotic, it’s an opportunity for us to just enjoy ourselves and let him have his time.”

The next Special Needs Night at Bettendorf Family Museum will be April 20 from 5:30-7:30pm.
