The City of Moline announced March 29, Lisa A. Kotter has been selected as the final candidate for Moline’s new City Administrator.
Kotter comes from Geneseo, where she’s served as the city administrator since February 2015.
Kotter also comes to Moline with more than 25 years of city management experience.
Moline Mayor Stephanie Acri said in a statement Friday, “I and the members of the Council were particularly impressed with Ms. Kotter’s passion, energy and her genuine enthusiasm for the City of Moline. I look forward to the many attributes that she will bring to the organization and the community. Lisa is a very experienced municipal administrator, and she has, I believe, the vision, tenacity and creativity to do great things for our community.”
The Moline City Council needs to formally approve the appointment. They will take that up during their next meeting April 2.
Mayor Acri also told Local 4 News pending Kotter’s appointment, they are planning on April 29, 2019 at Kotter’s start date. Mayor Acri and the members of the Council also plan to host a welcoming coffee for Ms. Kotter on Tuesday, April 16 from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The City Administrator’s position in Moline has been vacant since January 22, when then City Administrator Doug Maxeiner stepped down. Since that time, Moline Public Works Director, J.D. Schulte, has served as the Interim City Administrator
