The Putnam Museum is celebrating its 150th anniversary in a picture-perfect way.
Starting Friday, visitors are invited to take part in the museum’s free photo event. It’s recommended to bring a small prop that represents the Quad Cities to you personally. The goal of the photo shoot is to have everyone that participates make Quad Cities history.
“We’re putting in the Putnam collection one photo of each person who comes in this weekend and has their photo taken and people from 50 years from now when we celebrate the 200th anniversary, can look back and say who was our community in 2017?” said Kim Findlay-Putnam Museum President and CEO.
The free photo shoot is Friday through Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The portraits will be will be hung in a photo exhibit in the Putnam’s grand lobby. You can even take home a free print.
