Hundreds of brides-to-be spent their Sunday playing bingo

The event raises funds for a local organization

DAVENPORT, Iowa - Dozens of brides-to-be and their families spend part of their Sunday playing bingo in hopes of winning a prize for their weddings.
The Friends of Vander Veer have been hosting the event for nearly a decade.
For every round won the brides get a gift.
The money raised goes to park flowers and educational programs.
Organizers say it's a fun way to raise funds for Vander Veer Botanical Park and help local brides-to-be have a special day.
"We have ShutterBooth of Eastern Iowa donating a photo booth for someone's wedding, we have Twisted Mic's doing DJ services, Green Thumbers doing flowers for the brides," says executive director Natasha Sottos.
There was also a silent auction.
More than 200 women attended the event.
The group's event will be their plant sale, that's at the end of April.
