‘Impeachment March’ held in Quad Cities

News

Dozens of people here in the Quad Cities took to the streets and held their own ‘Impeachment March’ at Lafayette Park in Davenport

The Rock Island County Indivisible Group hosted the march.

They marched across the Centennial Bridge to Schwiebert Park in Rock Island

Group leaders say they are trying to promote progressive values and policies both locally and nationally.

Many people marching say it is essential to end Donald Trump’s presidency as soon as possible.

Marchers say they are also asking Congresswoman Cheri Bustos and Congressman Dave Loebsack to help raise awareness to the problematic development within Trump administration.

“There’s a lot of federal impact and federal grant money that comes to this area that helps a lot of people and there’s been a lot of talk of ending those opportunities for folks in our community,” said Participant Wes Frenell.

The march was one of 45 national marches across the country.
