The Iowa born Californian U.S Representative spoke extensively on climate change at St. Ambrose University and his promise to re-establish relations with the Paris Climate Agreement.
Another key issue he focused on was gun violence awareness and action. He say it’s his number one priority. He told the crowd what he would do with that hot-button issue.
“Im also the only candidate in this field who is proposing that we ban and buy back the 15 million assault riffles that only belong on our battle fields never in our communit,” says Swalwell.
This is approximately Swalwell’s 20th visit to Iowa since the 2016 election. His next stop is in Des Moines.
