More than a hundred Quad Citians spend their day crafting.
It’s part of a four-day craft-fest for a good cause.
The Adam’s Alliance MS Crop is hosting their fifth annual event.
They say it’s their largest event to date. 114 crafters are filling a ballroom at the Holiday Inn in Rock Island.
Organizers say it’s a fun getaway where local crafters gather and finish their projects.
Those include jewelry making, scrapbooking, quilting, and making cards.
Organizers say 55 cents from every dollar raised is donated for MS research.
“It’s a very important cause to myself as I have a family member with MS, and I have quite a few friends that have it, so it’s just one way for us to give back to the community,” says event coordinator Leanne Stortz.
There was also a vendor fair.
Organizers say several thousand dollars are donated to research each year.
Their next event is in September and will be located in Erie, IL.
