Two new police officers were sworn in Thursday at the Muscatine City Council meeting.
Muscatine Mayor Brad Bark swore in Nathanial Avis and Tylor Staley to service with the Muscatine Police Department, according to a news release.
Bark then signed a proclamation designating May 14-20 as National Police Week in Muscatine.
