Shareholders of Arconic, one of the area’s largest employers, agreed to turn the company over to Apollo Global Management.
Arconic shareholders will get $30 cash for every share they own at the time of the merger, and 99% of the shareholders voting did so in favor of the merger.
The plant in Riverdale employs approximately 2,500 people.
