Chicken tenders giveaway backs up traffic on River Drive in Moline

Blame chicken tenders for a traffic backup Friday on River Drive in Moline.

Tyson Foods handed out free 20-pound boxes of uncooked chicken at the Western Illinois University campus.

It started at noon, but people lined up hours before that.

Police had to be called in to control the traffic.

The company gave away a total of 1800 boxes of chicken tenders.
