Illinois 17th District Congressman Eric Sorensen toured Black Hawk College.

Sorensen was joined by president of the college, Dr. Jeremy Thomas, touring the campus to highlight his work to strengthen education in central and northwestern Illinois. Sorensen said he wanted to make sure that financial aid from the federal government was coming down to help out students.

The Illinois representative said that focusing on connecting colleges and work forces is a necessity.
