With students in the Rock Island-Milan School District heading back to class, local law enforcement are reminding drivers to be mindful of school zones by paying attention to your surroundings and slowing down.
The speed limit in school zones is 20 miles per hour, and police say you’ll be subject to higher fines if you’re caught driving too fast through the zones.
