Illinois State Treasurer Mike Frerichs announced the state’s plans to support Israel.
Frerichs’s office will invest an additional $10 million in the country. Frerichs says he reached out to Israeli partners to see what could be done after the attack by Hamas.
Frerichs’s office has invested in Israel bonds since he became treasurer in 2015, and the Illinois investment now exceeds 100 million dollars.
