UPDATE: Gunfire rings out in a Davenport neighborhood this morning and police responded with guns drawn.

Local 4 News was the only station at West 6th Street between Vine and Myrtle streets after it happened around 10 a.m.

Neighbors say they heard several shots.

We saw several police officers go into a house with guns in hand.

One had a rifle and a shield.

Police recovered evidence — some of it from the front porch — but made no arrests.

Officers got called back there a couple of hours later area for a fight.

No arrests were made then either.

EARLIER UPDATE: Police are investigating a report of gunfire near 6th and Vine in Davenport.

6th Street in Davenport is shut down between Vine and Myrtle.

Local 4 News was first on the scene.
