Local News

One Museum featured this week is the Butterworth Center. This is a house that was built for the descendants of John Deere and one of the Deere and Company Presidents, William Butterworth. Visitors in the area can learn a little about the family and the incredible structure of the house that contains a 300-year-old ceiling painting from Venice. This week is one of the most important ones for the area’s museums as they try to reengage the community after a pandemic-ridden year.
