The nations largest trail organization gave a tour of their signature project, the Great American Rail-Trail.
The project will connect Washington D.C. to Washington state while going right through the Quad Cities Area. Twelve states will go through the trail, and the spokesperson for the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy says the trail is around 55% completed.
The project will be a tourist attraction and help economically develop the communities it connects.
