The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office will use a federal grant to crack down on traffic laws and make driving conditions safer.
The sheriff’s office got a sustained traffic enforcement program grant for next year. The program focuses on high-visibility enforcement and strategies to help reduce collisions.
Deputies will focus their prevention efforts on the leading causes of crashes like speeding, impaired driving and distractions from electronics.
