The Rock Island-Milan School District hopes to appoint an interim superintendent for the second half of the school year.
During the meeting August 22, the school board will discuss approving Lanty McGuire for the position. If approved, he will start January 1. McGuire had previously served as Superintendent of the Moline-Coal Valley School District.
