The Quad Cities will get a little cooler as a street rod national showcase will come to town next year.
Two local clubs, the Quad Cities Cruisers Car Club and the Blackhawk Chapter of Pontiac-Oakland Club International, will work together to host it. The special events director for the National Street Rod Association says around 2,000 street rods will be here from around the world.
