Aspiring engineers in the Quad Cities Area can get some hands-on experience this summer.

The Quad City Engineering and Science Council is partnering with the Putnam Museum and Iowa State College of Engineering to offer Engineering Kids Camps.

The five day day-camp provides an engaging experience for students to get creative, learn new things, and work side by side with engineers, other professionals and college students.

Students participate in three hands-on team based activities adjusted based on age and experience and get to see a special showing of the giant screen 3-D movie, “Living in the Age of Airplanes.”

There are still spots open for kids and volunteers. For more information, click here

The camp starts next Monday, July 25 and runs through Friday, July 29 at the Putnam museum in Davenport.
