A man was arrested Wednesday and charged with six counts of Class 2 felony possession of child pornography.
The Illinois State Police, assisted by local team members of the Illinois Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, executed a search warrant in Port Byron around 6:30 a.m. as a result of a lengthy child pornography investigation.
After receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, investigators developed a significant amount of electronic evidence leading to the search warrant and arrest of Cody L. Redman, 24.
Additional charges are pending further examination of electronic evidence. Redman was sent to
Rock Island County Jail and bond has been set at $100,000.
