Man faces felony charge after parking lot incident

A Davenport man faces multiple charges after police say he kicked a woman in the head while displaying a gun in the parking lot of a convenience store early Sunday.

Isaiah Ramon Henderson, 26, has been charged with felon in possession of a firearm, assault while diplaying a weapon and domestic abuse assault resulting in bodily injury.

Davenport Police responded around 2:28 a.m. to a report of a disturbance in the parking lot of the Kwik Shop in the 1700 block of Marquette Street. 

Police say Henderson kicked a woman in the head and displayed a firearm in a threatening manner during a verbal and physical fight. 

The woman suffered a bump on her forehead.

Police say Henderson was knowingly in possession of a firearm and is a convicted felon. Henderson was convicted of a felony in August 2017.

According to police, Henderson entered the Kwik Shop before speaking to officers. A firearm was located in the bathroom garbage of the store by police officers.
