UPDATE: A man wanted for probation violations on theft charges was found Thursday hiding in the upstairs attic of a house where a man was found shot.

Tyreon Laseanjae Woodard was found in the attic of a house in the 200 block of South 9th Street in Burlington.

Woodard was arrested on unrelated Des Moines County warrants for probation violations (theft 2nd and theft 5th).

Woodard was being held in the Des Moines County Jail on no bond awaiting an initial court appearance.

Earlier in the day, officers found a 35-year-old man at the residence who had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was transported to Great River Medical Center.

The injured man’s condition is unknown but is not believed to be life-threatening.
