A man was walked in to a Bettendorf hospital Thursday night with a gunshot wound and Davenport Police said today they believe it is connected to a report of gunshots about an hour earlier.
Davenport Police responded to a report of gunfire in the 1400 block of West 4th Street around 10:18 p.m.
Officers located casings and one house damaged by bullets in the 1400 block of West 4th Street. No other damages were reported and no injuries were reported at that time.
Around 11:32 p.m., Davenport Police responded to UnityPoint Health Trinity in Bettendorf after a report of a walk-in gunshot victim.
The victim was identified as a 21-year-old man from Davenport who suffered a non-life threatening injury.
Detectives are following-up on the incident. Preliminary information indicates that these two incidents are connected, according to police.
