MetroLINK will give people a free ride on the Illinois side of the Quad Cities for New Year’s Eve.
The service will include stops in downtown Moline and Rock Island as well as Augustana College. The offer kicks in at 7:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and continues until 3:00 a.m. For more information and a route map, see the full release below.

MetroLINK is pleased to announce the availability of free late-night Metro service on Sunday, December 31, 2017 to accommodate New Year’s Eve festivities in the Illinois Quad Cities. The free service will include two buses operating a Route 10 Express between downtown Rock Island, the Augustana campus, and downtown Moline from 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM. All fixed routes will operate regular schedule with standard fares throughout the day. Riders can visit MetroLINK’s website at www.metroQC.com/NYE or Metro’s facebook page “Metro IL Quad Cities” for a map and schedule of New Year’s Eve service. In observance of the New Year’s Holiday, Metro’s fixed route bus service will not operate on Monday, January 1, 2018. Regular routes will resume Tuesday, January 2.
