Missing man found overseas, charged with sexual assault of child

Moline police announced that Sean McDonnell was foundĀ in Saipan

UPDATE: The Moline Police Department announced that missing person Sean McDonnell was found in Saipan.

The United States Marshals Service found him in the commonwealth of the United States and took him into custody on charges out of Rock Island County.

McDonnell has been charged with four counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and one count of criminal sexual assault and is awaiting extradition proceedings.


MOLINE, Illinois - The Moline Police Department is asking for help to locate a missing Moline man.

Sean McDonnell, 39, went missing under what police are calling "suspicious circumstances" and has not been seen or heard from since September 11.

McDonnell was last seen driving a black Dodge truck with Illinois license plate 1343990. The truck has a "Quad City Radon" sticker on the side of it.

Police report that McDonnell is believed in the western United States, possibly in the Denver, Colorado area.
