Moline teen has died from brain disease, father says

UPDATE: Christopher Bunch, a Moline teen who was fighting for his life in Iowa City after being diagnosed with a disease that causes inflammation in the brain, passed away today around 1 p.m.

The Bunch family had been raising money on Facebook since being sent to University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital last week after complaining of a headache before football practice last Monday.

He was diagnosed  with acute disseminated encephalomyelitis and suffered paralysis and a seizure.
