One stabbed in home invasion

One man was injured Wednesday after a Whiteside County home invasion.

The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call at 2:28 a.m. reporting a man had entered a residence in the 200 block of Martin Road in rural Rock Falls and stabbed another man. A female reported her ex-boyfriend was beating up a 20-year-old man who was visiting.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 29-year-old Isaiah Reyes of Rock Falls on charges of two counts of home invasion (Class X felonies) and one count of aggravated battery. 

The injured man was transported to CGH Medical Center for treatment to his thigh and later released. 

Anyone with information regarding Reyes’ whereabouts should call the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office at 815-772-4044 or Crime Stoppers at 815-625-7867. The Sterling and Rock Falls police departments and Illinois State Police assisted in the investigation.

This incident happened in rural Rock Falls. The suspect is still at large. 

The injured man was transported to CGH Medical Center for treatment and later released. The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office investigation is ongoing.
