Jersey Mike’s Sub Restaurant in Davenport will donate 100 percent of their sales to Junior Achievement of the Heartland today. Every penny will go back to the local organization.
“This is a very unique campaign for the Quad Cities. Jersey Mike’s is providing 100 percent of their resources and giving 100 percent of their sales back to JA,” stated Dougal Nelson, Vice President of Development, Junior Achievement of the Heartland. “Franchise owners, Aron and Camilla Lees, along with the entire Jersey Mike’s team are real-life examples of the entrepreneurial spirit and community engagement JA is teaching our youth. We are honored to have been selected for this and appreciate the community supporting Jersey Mike’s effort to help our kids.”
This is the eighth year Jersey Mike’s Subs across the United States will host the Day of Giving campaign, and the first year for the new Quad City based restaurant.
Jersey Mike’s is located at 2124 East Kimberly Road, next to Fresh Thyme Grocery Store. It's open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Nelson and Aron Lees, franchise owner of Jersey Mike's Subs joined us on Local 4 News at 4 earlier this month to talk about it.
Junior Achievement provides financial literacy, work-readiness, and entrepreneurship programs to more than 290 schools and youth organization throughout our area. This school year more than 57,000 kindergarten through high school students will benefit from JA programs.
