Jaimy Szymanski, business development specialist with the Quad Cities Manufacturing Innovation Hub, an initiative of the Quad Cities Chamber, joins Local 4 to talk about the Supply Chain Mapping tool.
The Hub works with area manufacturers and other companies throughout the defense supply chain to help them grow, diversify, and remain competitive.
They just unveiled a new tool to help our area companies called the Supply Chain Mapping tool.
The Supply Chain Mapping Tool is a service of the Hub, which is part of the Illinois Defense Industry Adjustment Program.
The tool is software that can help area businesses, as well as economic development organizations, better understand spending and contracting flows in the region in order to identify risks and opportunities.
It utilizes the software Tableau to provide dashboard “visualizations” through graphs, maps and more of complex data related to defense spending in the region.
