Pursuit starting in Davenport leads to multiple arrests Saturday morning

An early morning chase led to the arrest of 19 year old male and four male juveniles on Saturday. 

Davenport Police tell Local 4 News the incident started around 2:30 in the morning, when officers noticed two vehicles chasing each other. One of the vehicles was suspected of being stolen out of Rock Island hours before officers spotted it. 

Police say they lost the cars during the chase becasue of their evasive driving. Later, they spotted one of the vehicles near Wendy’s on West Locust Street, and say the vehicle immediately fled from them.

Davenport Police pursued the vehicle and say the vehicle drove on to Wood Intermediate School and then up to Eldridge, Iowa where the driver crashed the vehicle.

The Scott County Sheriff conducted an investigation and found a gun on the school grounds of Wood Intermediate School.

All occupants of the car were arrested including four juveniles.

Taion Johnson-Rush was charged with Eluding, assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, carrying weapons on school grounds, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
