Quad City Rollers are looking for new members

An all female roller derby league is kicking off their year.
Today was the first day of boot camp for the Quad City Rollers at the Eldridge Community Center and Skatepark.
Team leaders say roller derby is the fastest growing sport in the world and they’re looking for more derby sisters to compete in national and international competitions.
“We have a place for everyone here. So if you’re looking to stay in shape, or make some friends, or you just want something to do with your time that’ll be a good stress-reliever here’s the place for you,” says coordinator Roxi Schlue.
Skating experience is not required.
Coaches will teach you everything you need to know from how to stop, speed up, and even what gear to wear.
The season opener will be March 24th.
